Sgian Dubh Earrings

These stunning fossilized coral earrings are decorated with 3.7g of Sterling Silver framing and setting the coral. On the back of the earrings there is a depiction of a sgian-dubh (skee-ən-DOO) in 22K Yellow Gold along with the beads on the earrings hooks. Each coral has been drilled through near the top.

A sgian-dubh is a small, single-edged knife worn as part of traditional Scottish Highland dress along with the kilt. The sgian is now worn as part of traditional Scottish dress tucked into the top of the kilt hose with only the upper portion of the hilt visible. The sgian-dubh is normally worn on the same side as the dominant hand.
