Art Nouveau Kilt Pin in Sterling Silver

The kilt pin is a distinctly Scottish accessory, worn to weight the outer apron of the kilt and prevent it from blowing open, typically positioned about one-third up from the lower hem on the right-hand front apron. This sterling silver kilt pin pairs the traditional elongated form with an Art Nouveau-influenced head: an open kite-shaped frame with stylized curvilinear scrollwork, the fluid lines of the late 19th-century movement rendered in miniature. The hinged pin backing makes it equally suitable as a lapel pin, bringing understated elegance to any collar or jacket.

Jewelry Care

Store pieces in a clean, dry, closed location (jewelry box, bag, or pouch) to slow tarnishing and prevent scratches.

For sterling silver, lightly wipe with a polishing cloth like the Sunshine Polishing Cloth. For gold, use jewelry-cleaning solutions following manufacturer instructions.

Remove jewelry before swimming, sports, gardening, or using household chemicals. Apply lotions and perfumes before putting jewelry on, not after.
