Ceol Mo Chridhe Ring in Silver
The Ceol mo Chridhe ring - "Music of My Heart" in Scottish Gaelic - centers on a heart from which continuous knotwork reaches around the full circumference of the tapered band. Hearts have a long place in late medieval Scottish and Irish decorative art, and around 1990 Walker and a number of other Celtic designers independently wove the heart into the knotwork tradition. The design has since proven popular with men and women alike as a Celtic expression of love.
MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Handcrafted in sterling silver at Walker Metalsmiths in Andover, NY. An original design by Stephen Walker. The tapered band sits wider at the heart and narrows toward the shank, giving the piece an elegant, graduated profile.
