Celtic Raven Necklace in 14K Gold
A raven in flight rendered entirely in Celtic knotwork, its wings, body, and tail formed from flowing interlace lines. In Celtic tradition, ravens are associated with wisdom and keen perception. This zoomorphic design draws on the manuscript tradition of building animal forms from interlocking knot patterns, where the creature's body becomes the vocabulary and the knotwork arrangement becomes the grammar. 1 7/8" x 15/16" (48mm x 23mm).
MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Handcrafted in 14K yellow gold at Walker Metalsmiths in Andover, NY. Original design by Stephen Walker. The chain attaches at each wingtip, with a total necklace length of 20" (pendant on 18" cable chain).
