Celtic Knot Heron Pendant
A striking example of Celtic zoomorphic craft in sterling silver: two herons face outward in mirrored symmetry, their bodies and tails woven into dense Celtic knotwork at the base of the pendant. The wings are detailed with scale-like feather patterns, each tip terminating in a trinity knot form. In the Celtic zoomorphic tradition, the animal's body becomes the vocabulary of interlace, every limb and feather part of a continuous, unbroken pattern. Measuring 1 11/16" (43mm) wide by 2" (50mm) tall, it is a bold and intricate piece.
