Ethiopian Opal Ring in 14K Gold
This one-of-a-kind ring brings together three golds and a remarkable range of Celtic metalwork techniques — all centered on a 2.25ct Ethiopian opal cabochon with white, blue, and green color flash, with subtle orange and red peeking through in the right light. The stone is framed by a twisted rope wire bezel in yellow gold. The wide band combines Celtic spiral scrollwork in white gold, triquetra (trinity knot) elements in rose gold on each shoulder, and clusters of gold granulation, with five accent diamonds bezel-set throughout.
MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Handcrafted in 14K yellow, rose, and white gold at Walker Metalsmiths in Andover, NY. Original design by Stephen Walker. Center stone: 2.25ct Ethiopian opal cabochon. Accent stones: five bezel-set round diamonds (9pt each). Currently size 7; can be re-sized.
