Walker Metalsmiths Celtic Jewelry Now Offers Custom Laser Engraving For Their Handmade Celtic Jewelry

As a family run business in Western New York, Walker Metalsmiths has been offering an array of quality, handcrafted Celtic jewelry to our customers for over 25 years. And now with the addition of our optional custom laser engraving you can personalize our uniquely designed jewelry pieces including the popular Claddagh Jewelry line.

Why Laser Engraving?

While a gift of jewelry is always personal, adding an engraved message, date or initials adds to the personal feel of the gift. It’s an intimate gesture that marks a gift of jewelry for one person alone and it beautifully commemorates a special occasion, relationship or moment in time.

We’ve chosen a laser engraving machine for our engraving work due to its precision and versatility. It will work in any of our metalworking mediums, including sterling silver, gold, platinum and mixed metals and provide a clean, polished look on every engraved piece. Custom engraving will be available on many of our popular jewelry lines as well as on our custom designed pieces.

We are always looking for new ways to combine the beauty and timelessness of traditional Celtic metalwork with new design motifs that appeal to today’s jewelry lovers. Adding a laser engraving option is simply one more step in this process.

Cross Jewelry to Engrave

Our collection of Celtic crosses is based on a variety of cross motifs found in Walker Metalsmiths custom engraved Celtic Crosses Ireland, Scotland and Wales over the centuries. The Genesis Celtic Cross, one of Stephen Walker’s original designs inspired by Scottish and Irish Celtic motifs, is ideally suited for custom laser engraving. The flat, broad surfaces on the reverse of the cross can be laser engraved with any message you wish. Our Adomnan, Irish Murdoch and Revival Cross pendants also lend themselves to the engraving of a date, name or short, personal message.

Laser Engraving Claddagh Jewelry

The Walker Metalsmiths’ collection of Claddagh jewelry features Claddagh rings and pendants in several variations of the popular heart, hands and crown motif that is often associated with Irish culture. Although not a traditional Celtic design, today’s Claddagh ring is seen as a reflection of Irish heritage grounded in a local Galway tradition from the  17th century. Mothers often pass a Claddagh ring down to their oldest daughters, and our laser engraving can make this an even more cherished gift. Consider engraving the ring with both mother’s and daughter’s initials or commemorate a special date. Our ring size guide makes it easy to order a Claddagh ring in her size.

We also offer the Claddagh ring in styles containing the heart, hands and crown Walker Metalsmiths custom designed Claddagh Ringmotif set within a solid band. Many young couples choose our Claddagh rings for wedding bands, combining the ancient, European symbol of devotion with a symbol of their Irish heritage. Walker Metalsmiths will be happy to engrave any couple’s wedding bands with initials, dates or names for an intimate touch.

The Claddagh cross grew out of the popularity of the Claddagh ring in the early 20th century. It has since become a symbol of both Christian faith and Celtic heritage by combining the Claddagh symbols of devotion, loyalty and friendship with the symbolism of the cross. We offer several original variations on this theme with the form of the ring stylized as a circle around the center of the cross that ends with clasped hands holding a crowned heart. A laser engraved Claddagh cross will make a lovely gift for a christening or baptism as well as for more traditional holidays such as  Christmas and  birthday.

Mark any special occasion with a beautifully crafted piece of Walker Metalsmith’s Celtic or Claddagh jewelry enhanced by laser engraving. Your gift will instantly become a treasured heirloom.
