St. Brigid's Spiral Cross Pendant in Sterling Silver
According to legend, Saint Brigid of Ireland wove the first St. Brigid's cross from rushes as she sat in prayer beside her dying father. Born in the 5th century and revered as "Mary of the Gael," she is one of Ireland's three patron saints alongside Patrick and Columba. Her cross has been hung above doorways for generations as a symbol of protection, faith, and Celtic Christian heritage. This pendant reinterprets that tradition, replacing the traditional rush-woven center with a spiral knotwork motif: in Celtic design the spiral represents transformation, renewal, and the continuous cycle of life.
MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
Hand-crafted in sterling silver at Walker Metalsmiths in Andover, NY. Original design by Stephen Walker. Available in two sizes: Small (3/4" × 7/8", 20mm × 23mm) and Medium (1 1/4" × 1 1/8", 32mm × 30mm). Shown on an 18" sterling silver cable chain. A meaningful keepsake for St. Brigid's Day, confirmations, or honoring Irish faith and heritage.

1-year craftsmanship warranty on all Walker Metalsmiths jewelry. Within the first year, we cover manufacturing defects, prong checks, polishing, chain repairs, and normal-wear fixes at no charge.
After the first year, we still service every piece we've ever made; a small fee may apply depending on the repair. All work is done by our own jewelers in Andover, NY.
Not covered: damage from chemicals, chlorine, high-impact use, abusive wear, center-stone damage, or accidental loss.
Store pieces in a clean, dry, closed location (jewelry box, bag, or pouch) to slow tarnishing and prevent scratches.
For sterling silver, lightly wipe with a polishing cloth like the Sunshine Polishing Cloth. For gold, use jewelry-cleaning solutions following manufacturer instructions.
Remove jewelry before swimming, sports, gardening, or using household chemicals. Apply lotions and perfumes before putting jewelry on, not after.
