Bold Ardagh Spirals Ring
This ring adapts the engraving that runs beneath the bowl of the famous Ardagh Chalice, an 8th-century Irish treasure now held in the National Museum of Ireland. Most of the design elements are based on the number 3: on the Chalice, that grouping was meant to symbolize the Holy Trinity, and in earlier Celtic culture these forms carried associations with eternity — past, present, and future. The design is circular, without beginning or end. One small intentional gap marks the back of the band.
