Heron Celtic Brooch
In the Celtic zoomorphic tradition, animal bodies become the vocabulary of ornamental art: limbs, wings, and necks flow into interlace, their forms inseparable from the patterns they create. This brooch from Scottish artisan Russel Caldwell of Mithril Jewelry captures that tradition in a pair of stylized herons facing each other across a circular field, their bodies dissolving into knotwork below. Caldwell's Glasgow studio brings rigorous Celtic scholarship to each piece, and the heron's characteristic stillness and poise reads clearly in this design's composed, balanced form.

Handcrafted in sterling silver by Russel Caldwell, Mithril Jewelry, Glasgow, Scotland. Measures approximately 2" / 51mm tall by 1 3/8" / 35mm wide.

30-day returns on unworn items in new condition. Customer pays return shipping. Exception: special and personalized orders are not refundable.
Exchanges: we cover domestic First Class shipping back to you on your first exchange. Exchanges ship once your return is received.
Free ring sizing within 90 days of purchase (first sizing; not available on sale or discontinued rings).
1-year craftsmanship warranty on all Walker Metalsmiths jewelry. Within the first year, we cover manufacturing defects, prong checks, polishing, chain repairs, and normal-wear fixes at no charge.
After the first year, we still service every piece we've ever made; a small fee may apply depending on the repair. All work is done by our own jewelers in Andover, NY.
Not covered: damage from chemicals, chlorine, high-impact use, abusive wear, center-stone damage, or accidental loss.
Store pieces in a clean, dry, closed location (jewelry box, bag, or pouch) to slow tarnishing and prevent scratches.
For sterling silver, lightly wipe with a polishing cloth like the Sunshine Polishing Cloth. For gold, use jewelry-cleaning solutions following manufacturer instructions.
Remove jewelry before swimming, sports, gardening, or using household chemicals. Apply lotions and perfumes before putting jewelry on, not after.
