St. Brigid Cross Pendant in Sterling Silver
St. Brigid's Cross represents one of Ireland's most enduring protective symbols, rooted in legend and spiritual tradition. According to the story, Saint Brigid wove the first cross from rushes while keeping vigil at her dying father's bedside, using the act to explain her Christian faith and inspire his deathbed conversion. The cross became a household blessing, traditionally woven on the eve of St. Brigid's Day (February 1st), believed to protect homes and families against fire and misfortune. This sterling silver version captures the geometric, woven essence of the traditional design.

Handcrafted in sterling silver at Walker Metalsmiths in Andover, NY. Original designs by Stephen Walker. The twisted, woven surface texture honors the traditional craft of rush weaving while offering the durability and beauty of precious metal. Available in two sizes: Large (SW341) measures 1 5/8" (41mm) tall by 1 1/2" (38mm) wide; Small (SW340) measures 1 1/16" (26mm) tall by 1" (25mm) wide.

30-day returns on unworn items in new condition. Customer pays return shipping. Exception: special and personalized orders are not refundable.

1-year craftsmanship warranty on all Walker Metalsmiths jewelry. Within the first year, we cover manufacturing defects, prong checks, polishing, chain repairs, and normal-wear fixes at no charge.
After the first year, we still service every piece we've ever made; a small fee may apply depending on the repair. All work is done by our own jewelers in Andover, NY.
Not covered: damage from chemicals, chlorine, high-impact use, abusive wear, center-stone damage, or accidental loss.
Store pieces in a clean, dry, closed location (jewelry box, bag, or pouch) to slow tarnishing and prevent scratches.
For sterling silver, lightly wipe with a polishing cloth like the Sunshine Polishing Cloth. For gold, use jewelry-cleaning solutions following manufacturer instructions.
Remove jewelry before swimming, sports, gardening, or using household chemicals. Apply lotions and perfumes before putting jewelry on, not after.
